In this paper, the torque ripple of consequent-pole PM machines (CPPMMs) is reduced by injecting 2nd order harmonic armature current. into stator coils. proposed method, based on machine back-emf spectrum and main load current, appropriate current obtained. An analytical model developed to obtain CPPMMs. addition, obtained used compute electromagnetic as a function currents. Validity verified using finite-element analysis. To investigate efficacy in minimization, optimum one separately direct search algorithm related waveforms for two different harmonics are compared together. The waveform computation. Although method not exact it precise enough considering its negligible computation burden over method.
